Hosted by Mahdi Woodard, what began as a light-hearted conversation evolved into a deeply meaningful exchange, culminating in a remarkable act of generosity that directly benefitted our organization, Loving You Into Freedom.
During the session, Mahdi engaged in a poignant conversation with Crystal, the passionate co-founder of Loving You Into Freedom, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing essential resources to families impacted by the harsh realities of injustice and incarceration. Inspired by Crystal's dedication and the critical mission of the organization, Mahdi and the live audience seized the moment to make a difference.
Empowered Generosity
As Mahdi humorously entertained and interacted with the audience, the tone shifted to one of purpose and solidarity. Prompted by the heartfelt dialogue with Crystal, Mahdi initiated a live fundraising effort, inviting the audience to contribute. The response was nothing short of remarkable. Donations flowed in, quickly accumulating to $703. But the spirit of generosity didn't stop there. Through strategic coordination with close friends and a personal contribution from Mahdi himself, the total was elevated to an even $1,000. This collective effort ensured that Loving You Into Freedom could distribute books to 100 families, offering them valuable information and support.
